Summer Session Registration opens April 24th
Classes are informal and kept small (6 students max during COVID) to allow instructors to provide each student with individual attention as needed. Most classes are 3 hours long, and extra studio time is included for all classes at no extra charge. This time is by appointment at present due to COVID. Classes are open to students age 15 and up or to students 12 and up if a parent is also taking the class. Please e-mail .

This 9-week class is open to students of all levels and will teach students how to create hand-built pottery using various techniques such as slab construction, coil pots, extruded clay, pinch pots, and more.

This 9-week class is open to students of all levels and provides instruction on wheel-thrown pottery techniques and glazing. Those new to or seeking a refresher in wheel-thrown pottery will learn the basics, including centering, pulling walls, shaping and trimming. Beginning glazing techniques will also be taught.

Classes with fewer than four students may be cancelled. If a class is cancelled, students would be able to join another class or could receive a full refund.

Unless otherwise announced on our home page all classes will occur as scheduled. We will place any cancelation notices on our facebook page and home page and will make every effort to notify students via email.
KIDS & TEENS CLASS (Ages 8-16)

In this 6-week class, open to kids 8-16, students will explore the medium of clay through a variety of hand-building projects. Students will get to see the process of creating pottery pieces from start to finish and learn about clay types, kiln firing and glazing. Coil building, pinch pots and slab building will be introduced. Masks will be required of all students for the duration of the class. Classes will be held outside as long as weather permits and if necessary we will be able to move into our well ventilated, wide open studio with appropriate social distancing. All materials are included in the cost of the class. Additional clay for working at home can be purchased for $25/25 lbs.
